Young Artist Program 2025
Scholarship and opportunity to participate in the summer opera production for young opera singers
As part of the Confidencen Opera & Music Festival, the Ulriksdal Palace Theatre Confidencen together with the festival’s artistic director Peter Spissky calls for young singers who want to develop their skills in interpreting baroque and classical styles within the Confidencen Opera & Music Young Artist Program.
Are you an aspiring opera singer looking for the next step in your career? We are selecting young talented singers to join this summer’s production of Don Giovanni as chorus members, as well as perform as soloists in a concert with orchestra featuring Baroque arias.
We are looking for four young talents who will have the opportunity to:
- Participate in an inspiring opera production of Don Giovanni (full run: 8 July – 16 August 2025), working closely with experienced professional singers, Artistic Director Peter Spissky and Stage Director Deda Cristina Colonna.
- Take part in an exclusive concert of Baroque arias
- Receive a scholarship of SEK 15,000
- Participate in coaching sessions with some of the festival soloists and the artistic team
Requirements for the application
- You are between 18 and 33 years old
- Applicants must have recently completed (or currently be active in) music education at university level
Application procedure
To apply, please follow these two steps:
1. Complete this application form
2. Email the following to info@confidencen.se:
- A short presentation of yourself and why you would like to participate in our Young Artist Program (max 300 words)
- Your CV and your experience as an opera singer
- A video recording of a Baroque or Mozart aria
- A video recording of a piece of your choice (even romantic or 20th century repertoire)
Apply by 4th of April 2025 at the latest
