During the Confidencen Opera & Music Festival, the concert series En confidence offers both depth and breadth. The festival’s artistic director, Peter Spissky, has gathered world-class musicians and singers for three unique concerts.

What happens when Bach meets Swedish folk music? In their Grammy-nominated album Bach på svenska (2007), national folk musician and violinist Lisa Rydberg and organist Gunnar Idenstam weave together the elegance of the Baroque with the pulse of Swedish folk music – now brought to life in concert!

Cembalo virtuoso Jory Vinikour

Jory Vinikour, one of today’s leading harpsichordists, invites you to a concert featuring the youthful brilliance of Rameau and the innovative keyboard sonatas of Scarlatti.
With an international career as a soloist, conductor, and chamber musician, he brings new life to two of the Baroque era’s great masters.

Eine Kleine Nachtmusik

For the third year in a row, Confidencen Opera & Music Festival welcomes young musical talents from around the world to Ulriksdal as part of the Confidencen Baroque Orchestra Academy. During the academy week, participants explore music from the Baroque and Classical periods through masterclasses and rehearsals. This year’s theme, Divertimento, runs as a common thread through a program filled with playfulness, humor, and joy. Highlights include Mozart’s beloved Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Telemann’s colorful suites Don Quixote and Gulliver’s Travels.

In conjunction with the concerts, the Confidencen intermission café is open. There you will find, among other things, hearty snacks, delicious pastries, refreshing drinks, sparkling wine, and cappuccino, espresso and macchiato from our new coffee machine, as well as brewed coffee and tea for sale. Enjoy something tasty in the green surroundings before the concert!
Discover the theatre
Before the concerts on July 27 guided tours are offered at Confidencen. We will take you on a 40 minutes tour through the royal foyers to the theater hall and stage. During the tour, the story of the theater, which has risen from the ruins and has now once again become a fully-fledged Rococo theater with spectacular machinery, will be told.
